Google Hong Kong loses top brass
Hong Kong - Preston Lau, GM of Google Hong Kong has left the company, with the search giant yet to find a replacement.
A Google statement said Lau has left the company to "pursue other opportunities".
Google Hong Kong staff are now reporting to John Liu, Google's vice president of sales for Greater China region.
"Preston has been a valuable part of Google Hong Kong and we are deeply grateful for the wonderful work he has done. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors," a statement said.
Lau was responsible for sales and business development as well as overseeing the team and operations in Hong Kong.
Before taking the GM role, he led Google's strategic partnership development in the region and successfully established key relationships with telecom operators and mobile manufacturers including Hutchison and HTC.
