Singapore - ESPN STAR Sports' Event Management has been appointed by Netball Singapore to organise and market the 2011 World Netball Championships.
ESS Event Management will oversee the organisational aspects of sports and competition such as athlete services and liaison, and supervise event operations to efficiently run the tournament such as venue management, accreditation, accommodation, transportation, spectator services, security and safety.
They will also manage event production for onsite entertainment, spectator activities and creating the event image; handling the marketing and PR to drive event promotion, oversee media relations and event branding as well as sponsorship and client servicing.
"We're proud to stage such a prestigious world-class event and we're committed to lending our expertise and our best resources to organize the best World Netball Championships to date," Manu Sawhney, ESPN STAR Sports managing director, said.
"We will ensure that the event will be held at the highest international standards for the competitors and spectators. We look forward to delivering another marquee event with the cream of the world's best teams coming to Singapore for this premier international event."
The World Netball Championships is held once every four years and the 12th edition will see the world's top 16 teams compete for the championship title at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2011.
