Singapore - Automotive companies spent US$55 million (S$83 million) on advertising in Singapore for 2006, according to a 2006 Media Index study published by The Nielsen Company.
In total, automotive companies spent over US$395 million (S$599 million) on advertising in 2006, of which China took the largest share of 47%, followed by Australia with 17%, India with 15% and South Korea 6%.
Toyota, the Asia Pacific region's biggest advertiser in automotive-related advertising in 2006, spent US$292 million (S$443 million), followed by Hyundai with US$197 million (S$298 million) and Nissan with US$154 million (S$233 million) in third place.
