Malaysia - Weber Shandwick has hired Sime Darby's vice president of communications Rozani Jainudeen as general manager.
Jainudeen has experience in media and public relations in both agency and corporate environments, and in a range of sectors including corporate, finance and consumer PR. Until recently, she specialised in M&A assignments.
"Rozani's experience and insights, developed over years of agency and in-house experience, are a powerful addition to the company. She brings with her a broad range of skills that will enhance the value of the services offered to our range of specialised clients," Baxter Jolly, managing director, SE Asia for Weber Shandwick, said.
Commenting on her appointment, Jainudeen said: "Malaysia's public relations industry is undergoing a fundamental shift right now."
"The current financial dislocation across markets has provoked organisations to search for new and more sophisticated means to generate advocacy creation and the public relations sector is at the heart of it," she said.
