New business fuels Aegis expansion

Regional - Aegis Media has expanded its regional footprint to nine markets across South East Asia, signing new affiliations in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Vietnam.

The affiliates appointed by Aegis Media are the Pakistan-based Orient Advertising, Media Axis-MACOMM in Bangladeshi and VMC (Vietnam Marketing Center).

"With nine markets now covered in South East Asia, Aegis Media in all probability has the most robust and quality network in this sub-region," Ashish Bhasin (pictured), chairman India & CEO South East Asia, said.

Bhasin said the growth spurt was due to the group's dedicated team and sustained increase of new business in the region.

Aegis Media was named the number one network for new business in 2008.

"We had a very successful year in 2008 and amongst other achievements, Aegis Media was named the number one network in new business," he added.
