Today throws down the gauntlet to advertisers
Published: Apr 07, 2009
Singapore - MediaCorp's Today is challenging advertisers to get creative with their print ads, starting a competition which will feature two winning creative ads in the newspaper each month.
Today launched the competition in the Editor's Letter in the current issue, with editor Walter Fernadez encouraging marketers and agencies to think differently with their print campaigns.
"Yes, there are dark clouds over the economy, but I say there has never been a more critical time to stand out from the crowd. During a downturn, there is always a flight to quality. Good brands, trusted brands, creative brands that keep themselves in the public eye, will not only weather this storm, they will emerge with a bigger slice of the pie. And when the upturn comes, these are the brands that will ride the first wave of the recovery," Fernandez wrote.
Today's winning two ads each month will appear in the paper's Impact section.
