The awards are a result of six-week long voting, via sms, that saw as many as 20 TVCs shortlisted. Bagging the second and the third position in the local category were MobileOne for ‘M1: D.I.Y. Plan', and National Council on Problem Gambling for Problem Gambling's ‘Excuses', both created by Y&R.
In the international category winners included Heinz Sinsin for ‘Heinz: Duck' campaign, created by Canada-based John St. Advertising. Coming in second was Procter & Gamble (Singapore) for Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo ‘Rasta' campaign, created by Leo Burnett Sydney followed, by Sony Electronics for Sony Handycam's ‘Kids Will Be Kids' TVC by Y&R.
MediaCorp's Viewers' Choice 2008 winners received $50,000 worth of airtime to be used on Channels 5, 8, U, Suria, Vasantham, okto or Channel NewsAsia.
