Creative shop nabs Chee, expands to Oz

- Opening new store in Sydney
Regional - Local creative agency Grain&Pixel is again teaming up with Melvin Chee of graphic art collective Phunkstudio, with Chee heading up its art team and launching a new virtual store in Sydney.
The agency is opening a second office in Sydney soon and will use the new conceptual space to showcase interactive concepts in marketing and technology. Chee has previously worked with Grain&Pixel, collaborating with the agency to produce the holographic animation outdoor installation for Hewlett Packard last year. The installation moved regionally from Singapore on to Bangkok and Seoul.
"The collaboration worked really well because we're doing interactive technology and Melvin actually brings a really nice visual to our work," Grain&Pixel's partner Valerie Wee said.
‘We're hoping we can collaborate with different things in Singapore but with the start of the virtual shop in Sydney, that's where the art will be focused on rather than the commercial work here in Singapore."
Based in Singapore, Grain&Pixel has launched several regional interactive projects with big brands such as HP, Hugo Boss, Nokia and Sony Ericsson.
