Singapore - As part of the inaugural Media Fiesta 2009, HP has launched an Arc Worldwide-created online creative contest called Lightropolis, an initiative in conjunction with ION Orchard and the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA).
The website invites animators, engineers, architects and designers to push the boundaries of their imagination, using light as an expressive medium in four design categories of animation, design, engineering and architecture.
Going live on March 19, Lightropolis will feature an interactive tool that allows visitors to develop their dream creations which will then be showcased on the HP Lightropolis website, as well as on LED screens that line ION Orchard's exit into the Orchard MRT station.
"With Lightropolis, HP hopes to provide that platform for local talents in the arts and creative industries to not only showcase their creativity across different applications, but also show how these creations can be brought to life effectively through digital media," Serena Yong, general manager of the Personal Systems Group at HP Singapore, said.
