Singapore - In a bid to strengthen its digital and integrated marketing expertise, Y&R Singapore has appointed Catherine Browne as strategic planner for digital and integrated marketing.
Browne comes form Discovery Networks Europe, where she was marketing manager for digital and channels working across Europe, Middle East and Africa. During her stint there Browne specialised in greater integration of digital media (mobile, online and IPTV services) and managed all online and mobile activities for major programming campaigns.
Y&R recently sackedaround 5% of its workforce following the lost of Singapore Tourism Board, but CEO Tanuj Philip told Marketing that the agency would continue to beef up its digital offerings. The agency has recently won the creative account for Singapore Management University.
In her new role, Browne will be responsible for extending brand ideas for clients in digital and non-traditional channels and will report to Taru Jain, head of digital and interactive marketing for Y&R.
