Global - Ultimate Rugby Sevens, an interactive media channel dedicated to Sevens rugby, is set to provide expanded coverage for the IRB Sevens World Cup in Dubai courtesy of the development of new creative content.
The website, which launched earlier this year, will run exclusive content during the three-day tournament which kicks off tomorrow - including live text commentary of all games, a regular diary from England star Tom Varndell and a blog from the England women's team.
The site will also offer live video of every game from the tournament via the IRB's official Sevens World Cup website as well as a constant stream of Twitter updates live from the tournament.
"Interest levels in the game have risen greatly over the past few years and so demand for fans to be able to interact with the biggest tournament on the Sevens calendar has also increased considerably," Founder of Ultimate Rugby Sevens Tim Lacey said.
"Through the interactive and social networking elements of UR7s.com we are able to offer people unprecedented coverage of the World Cup and help to unite the global community of fans."
Outside of the Sevens World Cup, the Hong Kong leg of the Sevens World Series remains the premier event on the calendar and the 2009 edition kicks off on 27 March.
