Malaysia – Singapore Airlines has collaborated with Maybank and American Express to launch a new marketing initiative to lure more travellers to fly with KrisFlyer.

The introduction of the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer American Express Gold Credit Card allows travellers to convert their RM2 spent to 1 KrisFlyer mile.

"We target to have 30,000 card members within a year after the launch," Lim Hong Tat, senior executive vice president of head consumer banking, Maybank said.

The card offers members a welcome bonus of 3,000 KrisFlyer miles upon first transaction. Members will also earn 1 KrisFlyer point when the card is used for other purchases.

Advertisements communicating the initiative are now running in print.
