Singapore - Online advertising sales company Pixel Media has strengthened its Singapore operations by expanding its local team and hiring its first Singapore country manager.

Elvin Tan, who boasts more than 10 years of experience in digital media across Asia Pacific, will spearhead Pixel Media Singapore's sales, marketing and business development efforts. He will also spur Pixel Media's growth in the wider Southeast Asia region from its Singapore base.

Pixel Media has also hired business executive Tracy Yap, as well as account managers Joel Choo and Damien Yeong to bolster its market position in Singapore.

"Creating the position of country manager for our Singapore operations highlights the importance that Pixel Media places on the Singapore's online advertising market," Winky Chan,Pixel Media's managing director, said.

"Third-party studies are indicating that growths for online advertising spend levels in Singapore and Southeast Asia are projected to be worth at least US$26 million and US$200 million in 2010 respectively. Therefore, we are gearing up to capitalise on this potential and emerge as a leading player in this region."

Tan was most recently vice president of business development at Access Media Solutions, responsible for launching digital entertainment services with key mobile operators in Asia Pacific. Pixel Media Singapore was originally established in early 2007.
