Edgar joins Eight to lead digital
Hong Kong - Taura Edgar, digital specialist at CNN and Time.com, has joined Eight Partnership to lead its digital business.
Edgar, an experienced strategic planning and client management professional, spent seven years in digital advertising operations for Turner International, covering the CNN and Time.com brands. At Turner she was responsible for overseeing global ad campaigns with a focus on Asia-Pacific, including ad integration between online and traditional media.
Brands under Edgar's management included Toyota, Sony and HSBC, among other Fortune 500 companies. She also helped launch CNN Desktop News, a desktop application that delivers breaking news, tickers and RSS directly to users.
Chris Fjelddahl, managing partner at Eight, said Edgar's extensive background in online media will be immediately put to use as Eight continues to expand its involvement in online campaigns.
"While very tech-savvy, what Taura brings is solid experience bridging online and offline branding. And that plays smack in the sweet spot of Eight's philosophy when it comes to branding and digital."
