Australia - News Digital Media has appointed Jodie Watson as its new head of trade marketing.
Watson reports to chief commercial officer Ed Smith and is responsible for the direction and management of all trade marketing activities for News Digital Media.
"The digital industry is set to prosper this year as marketers seek more accountability for their dollars," Smith said.
"As the movement of advertising spend from free-to-air TV to online accelerates, our trade marketing function will play a critical role in ensuring News Digital Media increases its revenue and market share. "I am thrilled to be joining News Digital Media - the only major publisher to increase its market share over the past year or so," Watson said.
"I look forward to building on the superb relationship the company has with Australia's agencies and clients."
Her prior roles also include general management and marketing at TOM Media Group, China's largest media company, as well as trade marketing for all of the Fairfax Digital websites.
