DDB busts out a new Rapp
Singapore - DDB has appointed Valli Lakshmanan to the newly created role of CEO of Rapp Singapore, following the global rebranding of the direct marketing agency late last year.
Lakshmanan, who joins Rapp from his role as regional business director of digital at Havas Group, has also spent time with Euro RSCG where he handled the Dell account.
At Rapp Singapore he will head the agency which has clients such as McDonalds, American Express, Canon and Johnson & Johnson, and will report to DDB Singapore group president and CEO David Tang.
Globally at the end of 2008 Rapp dropped the Collins from its agency title, and its focus has since shifted towards more on the use of data to determine customer insights for more effective solutions.
"The new Rapp is about data solutions that are smart, simple and very sensible. We're delighted with a practitioner like Valli to lead the team given his experience, his high-octane energy and his intelligent approach to data," DDB Singapore's Tang said.
