SPRG boosts headcount across Asia

Hong Kong - Strategic Public Relations Group has bolstered its marketing and financial relations teams across Asia with three new hires Rita Ng (pictured), Eunice Lua and Susan Tham.

Ng has been appointed as account director for Strategic Communication Consultants (SCC), a marketing unit of the agency based in Hong Kong.

In her new role, she will enrich the unit's proficiencies and help generate greater synergies between the Hong Kong and China offices.

Ng's knowledge in executing corporate and product marketing programmes including providing counsel to MNCs will assist the SCC's aims in becoming an authority in the FMCG segment.

Ng was previously from Waggener Edstrom for the past six years and prior to that worked in Hill & Knowlton.

As senior account manager of the Financial Communications and Investor Relations team based in Singapore, Lua will aid in fortifying the group's position as leader of the IPO/IR sectors in Asia.

Lua completed numerous S chip IPO communications programmes and provided advice to SGX listed companies before joining the agency.

Tham will take on the role of director for the Malaysian office, focusing on financial communications.

She had over 20 years experience as a journalist for The New Straits Times with tenures as corporate editor and editor at Business Times and Malaysian Business. Tham also worked at the Southern Bank handling corporate communications programs.

Richard Tsang, chairman and managing director for SPRG said the appointments of Susan and Eunice have strengthened their capacity to provide professional IR and financial PR services to clients not only in Hong Kong but also in the Asia Pacific region.

He added, "With Rita's valuable experience in both Hong Kong and China, we will be able to formulate more effective marketing strategies for MNCs aspiring to penetrate the PRC and Hong Kong markets".
