Brands heat up Christmas atmosphere in MTR
Hong Kong - Luxury brands bracing for a gray Christmas selling season are launching major advertising campaigns in MTR stations across Hong Kong to heat up festive atmosphere.
A total of 17 brands have participated in the MTR Christmas Promotion 2008 organised by JCDecaux Transport and MTR Corporation, offering marketers three different indoor advertising formats - Christmas fun corner, mobile showcase and Christmas galleria.
Among all the MTR indoor advertising campaigns, Swarovski has taken bragging rights as hosting the longest indoor crystal tunnel in the world and has broken the Guinness World Record. It has wrapped the 70-meter MTR tunnel with more than 100,000 pieces of sparkling crystals.
JCDecaux said Hong Kong Broadband, Chow Sang Sang and SKINGOOD are the key advertisers for the promotion that they have sponsored the interactive panel Christmas fun corner, inviting passengers to play games on the touch-screen monitors and decorated the corners with Christmas theme ads and logos within the stations.
