Hong Kong- Elegance iMedia Marketing, a local cross-media marketing firm, has formed an exclusive partnership with Guangdong Post to launch a campaign to promote Hong Kong tourism to individual visitors from the Guandong area.

Ken Wong, GM of iMedia, said given 50% of the Chinese tourists coming from Southern China, the ultimate aim of the campaign is to provide multiple channels to deliver marketing messages and develop comprehensive customer database for Guangdong Post to evaluate consumer incentives.

The campaign features iMedia's 100,000 copies of marketing booklet will be distributed by Guangzhou Post Directmail Buearu, a subsidary of Guangdon Post, in Guangdong province.

The booklets packed with advertorial contents and travel information are designed for local advertisers within the retail, hospitality, catering and tourism sectors to gain access to Chinese tourists.

Wong said the project is a cross-channel marketing campaign that all the contents are expected to reach travelers via online and mobile platforms if the print product is able to gain popularity among tourists in Southern China.
