The Media Publishers Association Singapore (MPAS) has confirmed that global digital magazine newsstand and book store Magzter as a sponsor of its media publishing awards event taking place in Singapore on 11 May 2015 at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.
This partnership signals a growing importance of digital platforms as a means for media publishers to increase their reach and target a global audience, said MPAS.
Joining Magzter as sponsors are global hospitality group Accor Hotels and Royal Caribbean International, while Campaign Asia and Marketing Magazine have come on board as its media partners.
Vijay Radhakrishnan co-founder and president of Magzter said, “The MPAS Awards event gives us access to a wide range of different genres of media publishers in Singapore. As the country is South East Asia’s hub for English language magazines, this gives us a good platform to consolidate our position amongst publishers in the region.”
As magazine content starts to integrate more audio visual elements, readers expect to consume quality mobile content on demand. James Chen, executive director of MPAS said publishers should also adopt a multi-plaform online media approach and see what gives them the best circulation medium-target audience fit.
Gaynor Reid, director of communications, Accor Asia Pacific said, “Accor is proud to support editorial excellence in Asia Pacific and believe the MPAS awards is a great way to recognize the best media across all platforms in the region.”
