Mobext invites marketers for The Pitch

Mobext, Havas Media Ortega’s mobile marketing arm, will be holding the first local competition for mobile marketing as part of the inaugural Mobile Festival 2013 set for next month.Alluding to the hit  US reality TV show “The Voice,” Mobext’s “The Pitch” challenges marketers attending the Mobile Marketing Academy, an online course developed by Mobext and E-Learning Edge, to solve a business problem using mobile within 24 hours.Teams will then present it to a jury of C-level executives during the conference for a chance to win over US$ 2,000 worth of prices and bragging rights for their winning mobile idea.“We want people to discover how far mobile has gone--from being a communication device to a tool that can transform businesses, industries, and lifestyles,” said Arthur Policarpio, head of Mobext Asia-Pacific and co-chairman of the Mobile Festival.Also developed in partnership with E-Learning Edge, the first Mobile Festival 2013 gathers industry experts to discuss trends presented into a practical ‘how to’ and ‘top tips’ format.As of press time, the conference has eight speakers from Twitter, McDonald’s, Mobext, Fremantle Media, Inmobi, Yoose, LBC Express and SSI Group, with plans to secure more. It will be held on 25 November at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay“It is important for us to double our efforts in bringing mobile learning in the country because globally, it is now a must-have for brands and businesses. With our unique event format, participants will get practical and first-hand advice from those who have cracked the mobile code in their respective industries, said Hans Roxas Chua, CEO of e-Learning Edge.
