MIX Fm revamps Breakfast Show

Malaysia - MIX fm has announced a revamped breakfast show with new hosts, celebrity Sarimah Ibrahim and Singaporean radio veteran Rob Monteiro, also known as Rod, starting 15 April.The New MIX Breakfast with Sarimah & The Rod also includes new features and programmes including ‘The MIX Flirt', ‘The MIX Pop Quiz' and the ‘MIX Scary-oke'.The duo take over from previous DJs Dilly, who moves to the 10am show belt, and JD who takes the night slot.Steve Kyle D'angelo, MIX fm content manager, said the new duo has the experience and unique personalities that will appeal to the station's 25 to 34 years group of listeners.Hitz.fm content manager Raqeem Brian said the move to rope in Sarimah and Rod was one planned for some time now, but timing was not right until now.Earlier this year, hitz.fm also announced a new morning crew, with Jin and Ryan replacing JJ and Ean."We would love to maintain our announcers but people move on. The way we see radio is in the priority to provide the best entertainment. In appealing to both the young and slightly older listeners, Sarimah and Rod make a good pair," added Brian.The station is reaching out to listeners via TVCs, print ads, radio commercials and social media in promoting the new show.
