Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has signed an exclusive three-year global partnership with Chelsea Football Club. Prior to the move, both entities had been working together for around a decade. The partnership has a multi-regional focus on Southeast Asia, China, Europe, North America and Middle East. The partnership will give MyMillennium members and all corporate customers access to football experiences such as Chelsea FC home and European matches. This is along with VIP match-day hospitality at Stamford Bridge, and access to see the training facilities at Cobham and other “close-to-the-action” experiences, the statement said. The move also comes as the hotel chain launches new brands – the Leng’s Collection and the M Collection. This is couple with a new set of loyalty programmes for our direct consumers, corporate clients and the planner/booker community. This is in a bid to provide a new global platform to leverage these activities globally. For example, The Chelsea Harbour Hotel, situated near Stamford Bridge – the home of Chelsea FC, will directly benefit from this partnership, hosting events in coordination with the Chelsea FC and their partners. Similarly, the Leng’s Mayfair, which will open its doors in Q1 2019, will provide a luxury and memorable experience to VIP clients.“We believe that this is a strong partnership that will not only enhance the perception of both brands on a global platform but will also add to the breadth of services we offer here at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, creating memorable guest experiences that set us apart from other hoteliers,” Franck Kermarrec, senior vice president, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, said.“We have built a strong relationship with the brand and their hotels close to Stamford Bridge, so to formalise this into a global partnership is very exciting,” Chris Townsend OBE, commercial director at Chelsea Football Club, added.
