MediaCorp has appointed Jack Lim(pictured) as chief commercial officer, reporting to Shaun Seow, chief executive officer.
In the newly created role, Lim will oversee all commercial relationships and fulfilment, including advertising sales, go-to-market partnerships and creative services.
He is in charge of developing a marketing strategy to integrate the company’s products across platforms, including TV and radio, press, magazines, and out-of-home and digital properties.
Prior to this, Lim spent the last six years at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, where he was in charge of media and affiliate sales and marketing. During that time, he transformed the network’s sales model in Asia to support its growth into a multi-channel network, said a MediaCorp release. Before that, Lim held regional leadership positions in marketing, brand and communications in global companies GE, IBM and CNBC.
Seow said: “Jack’s appointment is a key move as MediaCorp puts even greater emphasis on creating premium original content across our platforms for our consumers and in parallel, fresh approaches for businesses to reach their customers.”
Lim said: “MediaCorp has incredible potential to help organisations tell their brand stories in powerful and creative ways, backed by data-driven decisions in a multi-screen environment.”
The appointment is effective 1 September 2014.
