WPP media buying group Maxus isn’t letting a huge social media opportunity like Valentine’s Day slip away.
The idea originally started in Australia when the agency started running loving tributes to clients in metropolitan newspapers, has now expanded globally.
This year Maxus has prepared an online ad to share some love with its clients, partners, venders and the entire GroupM family on a global scale, with tailored greetings spreading on Facebook and Twitter.
As this year’s Valentine’s Day falls on the same day as the Chinese Lantern festival, an oriental version decorated with a somewhat westernised lantern has also prepared for the Asia market.
Caroline Chan, managing director of Maxus Hong Kong, told Marketing the social campaign hopes to warm the hearts of all its partners and clients.
“The campaign leverages the power of social media to highlight our youthfulness and energy, ” said Chan, who added it help to enhance client relationship by spreading some emotional connections.
