Innovation Question Formulation

Powerful formulas for reducing strategic uncertainty and disruptive opportunity creation

Challenging and Questioning is one of the four core competencies for creativity. Arguably it is the most important, because it is about better defining the problem or opportunity, and asking the right question to get better answers.

  • To check and probe assumptions we take for granted.
  • To ensure we are formulating the right problem to solve.
  • To check that our thinking is robust.
  • To explore exciting and previously hidden opportunities.
  • To reduce strategic uncertainty.
  • And ensure we are approaching our problem/opportunity at the appropriate level of abstraction.

Otherwise, it’s Garbage In, Garbage Out. There is no point in having a great solution to the wrong problem.

This workshop introduces formulae and frameworks for finding the right level of abstraction, and reframing problems and opportunities.

Creative questions that will evoke creative thought, new perspectives, disruption, productivity, innovation will be shared, with cutting-edge New Economy examples from AirBNB, Starbucks, Tesla, Paypal, P&G, Amazon, Alibaba, and many more.
