Vanessa Kong has been named director of sales and marketing for Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong. The position was previously held by Antony Box, who joined the company this January but left this April, according to his LinkedIn.
In her new role, Kong will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and oversee sales and marketing across corporate, MICE, communications, events, leisure and loyalty marketing departments for the Marco Polo Hongkong, Gateway and Prince hotels.
Kong has more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience across the Middle East and Asia, where she has held senior management positions at several reputable hotel companies, including Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Dusit International and Montigo Resorts. She was most recently director of sales and marketing at Banyan Tree and Angsana Bintan before joining Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong.
