Marc Jacobs Beauty has appointed communications agency W Asia as its PR agency for Southeast Asia for a period of one year, following a pitch held earlier this year. The agency is tasked with driving the global growth of the Marc Jacobs Beauty brand in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
In a statement to Marketing, W Asia is the first agency that Marc Jacobs Beauty is working with in Asia and work will roll out “from now”.
Marc Jacobs Beauty is a collaboration between Marc Jacobs and Kendo Brands, LVMH’s incubator of new beauty brands. Among the portfolio of brands that Kendo manages includes Kat Von D Beauty, which also appointed W Asia in June as its PR partner for Southeast Asia. The agency is also tasked with managing its PR activities across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
“We’re really excited to be working with Marc Jacobs Beauty. It’s a truly remarkable brand with creativity at its heart – an approach which mirrors our own agency ethos,” Annabel Fox, managing director, W Asia said.
Earlier this year, the agency expanded its operations in Bali, Indonesia and also won several new client appointments, with a remit to advise on regional communication strategies as well as building public relation campaigns across Asia Pacific. In May, Park Hotel Group also appointed the agency to launch the new Park Hotel Farrer Park in Singapore. Among the list of clients that W Asia is currently working with include Bawah Island, CE LA VI and Princess Yachts.
