The Republic of Singapore Navy has put up a video of a female recruit Marine systems operator Clarie Teo. According to Mothership, this was a recruitment ad to lure more youths to join their ranks.Meanwhile, the Singapore Navy has clarified that this is not a recruitment ad.While the video starts with adrenaline filled images of ships, it soon takes a softer tone as it shows its Teo having her hair and make up done for the interview. This 1:12 minute clip goes on to elaborate what motivated her to join the Navy- the sun, the sea and an adventurous job. The interviewer later asks Teo to sing in the video.Watch the one minute clip here:The video was posted on the Cyber Pioneer site along with a writeup that goes into further detail to share more about Tan who was featured in the video.Dentsu has said confirmed to Marketing that it was not the agency behind the ad.Earlier, The Republic of Singapore Navy launched a crowd sourcing online campaign to have the public name its warships.
