LG chooses local digital shop

LG Electronics has appointed boutique agency Techsailor as its local digital agency of record.A spokesperson from LG Electronics confirmed the appointment to Marketing.The move also marks consolidation of LG's digital account locally as it previously wiorked with various vendors.The agency will be in charge of LG Electronics' website and social media marketing duties, among other digital duties.This move will also see the brand giving a higher allocation of its marketing mix to digital.The spokesperson declined to reveal the contract value of the deal.The contract takes effect this month and is for the period of one year.This digital appointment follows the pitch which took place in November last year for its communications duties locally. Earlier, The Secret Little Agency (TSLA) and Strategic Public Relations Group (SPRG) for its creative and public relations duties respectively.Globally, Young & Rubicam holds the LG account in several markets including Australia, London, America, Thailand and India. A significant portion of its business globally is held by HS Ad.
