Leo Burnett Shanghai elevates Angie Wong to MD role

Publicis Communications Greater China has announced changes to the Leo Burnett Shanghai office management team, effective from 1 April, 2017.Angie Wong, currently general manager of Leo Burnett Shanghai will take on the role of managing director of Leo Burnett Shanghai, reporting to Michael Lee, CEO of Publicis Communications Greater China.Rocky Hao and Takho Lau, will both be promoted to ECD from their current head of creative roles.Having worked at Leo Burnett for a total of 12 years, Angie Wong started her first job in Leo Burnett Hong Kong in 2002. She returned to the creative agency in March 2014 as general manager leading the Shanghai office.“From this April, we will establish a management committee in Leo Burnett Shanghai, to further flatten our organisational structure,” said Wong.At the same time, Publicis has promoted both Rocky Hao and Takho Lau to ECD roles.Rocky Hao joined Leo Burnett in early 2015 as head of creative. As a local creative with over 18 years’ experience, he has won some global-level creative awards such as Cannes and the One Show.Takho Lau has worked for many years with Leo Burnett in Hong Kong, Beijing and Guangzhou."As the flagship office in Greater China, Leo Burnett Shanghai plays an extremely important role in the entire network. Over the past two years, the collective efforts of Angie, Rocky and Takho have raised the creative output and business of Leo Burnett Shanghai to new heights," said Michael Lee.
