Chris Chiu founder and chief creative officer of Ren Partnership will be moving back to Leo Burnett as CCO of the agency’s Singapore office after three years. He will report to Jarek Ziebinski, chairman and CEO Leo Burnett Asia Pacific.
In a conversation with Marketing, Chiu (pictured) Ren’s existing clients and contracts will continue to be serviced under the Ren name. Come April, Chiu will be conducting all business pitches strictly through Leo Burnett. Chiu also added that some his current staff will be joining the Leo Burnett team. He also added that some of his current clients would be coming on board as well, but declined to reveal their names and the revenue it would bring.
“It has been a fantastic three years of learning and I just had to take this opportunity to join the Leo Burnett team when it came by,” Chiu told Marketing.
Ren Partnership worked with the likes of MSF, Great Eastern, Lion Corp, Samsung, Super Group and others. Most recently the agency lost its KFC account to Ogilvy & Mather Singapore.
Chiu first started the agency in 2012 after 11 years with Leo Burnett. Chiu has over twenty years of industry experience and has worked with Leo Burnett across its Indonesia,Thailand and Singapore ops during his tenure, donning various creative lead roles.
