KFC Malaysia launches social media campaign

KFC Malaysia has launched a campaign on social media platform Instagram.

The fast food restaurant is working with its social media agency IPG Mediabrands for the campaign which will run until the end of October. The duo have also partnered up with Adknowledge to integrate the ad into its recently announced social video marketing platform, AdParlor.

KFC Malaysia is one of the first companies to use Instagram advertising through AdParlor. The campaign, #perghpedas , is promoting KFC Malaysia’s Ayam Masak Merah Zinger Rice Wrap. The fast food restaurant will be integrating this campaign with its other active social media channels.

Derek Tan, regional senior partner, social media APAC at IPG Mediabrands said:

“We thrive on innovative approaches for our clients, pushing content that is both meaningful and impactful. The KFC Malaysia campaign through AdParlor gives us an exciting project to work on where we can integrate our strategy and execution through social media channels that are untapped.”

He added that Instagram would be a great platform for social media advertising as it give value for native content that has earned a place within the social ecosystem.
