Kantar Media reshapes APAC leadership team

Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai's former VP Coolio Yang (pictured) has joined Kantar Media CIC as CEO.Yang will form part of an enlarged regional leadership team which also includes Nick Burfitt, who continues in his role of managing director, Asia Pacific.Both report into Michael Toedman who was promoted from CEO of Kantar Media China to the regional role of CEO, Asia Pacific on 1 June, and reports to Andy Brown, Global CEO & Chairman, Kantar Media."Coolio’s deep experience in social media, digital marketing and advertising along with his experience and insights into China’s unique social media landscape make him ideally suited to this role. Under Coolio’s guidance, Kantar Media CIC will continue to be the authority in social media intelligence to our clients,” said Brown.“We are delighted to have Coolio joining the China team, as he brings an excellent understanding of the evolving needs of our clients and a clear vision for our business in the China,” said Toedman.Yang said, "With social media and internet word of mouth (IWOM) continuing to transform the relationships between our clients and their consumers, Kantar Media CIC’s capabilities are central to the ongoing and future needs of our clients”.
