J. Walter Thompson Singapore has appointed Jon Loke (pictured right) as executive creative director, assuming creative leadership over a key cluster of local and international accounts. Effective immediately, Loke reports to J. Walter Thompson chief creative officer and global executive creative director, Lux, Marco Versolato (pictured left).
With more than 18 years of experience in advertising and design, Loke was last executive creative director at Publicis Singapore. Before that, he was creative director and group head of art at O&M Singapore, and worked at Y&R, Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi and Mother in London.
“Loke’s strength in both creativity and effectiveness makes him a great addition to our team as we build out a mix of expertise and experience,” Versolato said.
“As we push forward with our business transformation for J. Walter Thompson and Mirum in SEA, we are seeing the next wave of young creative leadership emerge – recently Park and Pete in Bangkok, and now Jon in Singapore. Having learned their craft over a period of constant reinvention, they view change as the norm, as an opportunity rather than an uncertainty, making them ideally suited to guide our clients into the future,” Jacco ter Schegget CEO, South East Asia J. Walter Thompson Company said.
