Jebsen reaches out to Etymon for PR support

Jebsen Group has signed Etymon Communications to manage its beauty nutritional supplement brand Healthy Me.

Etymon Communications, an agency founded by former Burson-Marsteller executives Georgeana Fung and Betty Ng, launched in late 2011 offering brand management and crisis management services across Hong Kong, Mainland China and South East Asia.

In the past year, the agency has taken on Watsons Water PR retainer, Venetian Macao’s long-term seasonal PR campaigns, Citi Hong Kong’s CSR retainer and also LANEIGE’s PR crisis management.

In the past three months alone, the agency has landed retainer PR business for Watsons Water, Venetian Macao’s long-term seasonal PR campaigns, Citi Hong Kong’s CSR retainer and managed LANEIGE’s PR crisis.

Its latest win for Jebsen Group’s new beauty nutritional supplement brand Healthy Me has seen Etymon conduct workshops with influential bloggers in the city to spread an online word-of-mouth for one of its core products, BB-12 Probiotic.

Eventually, Etymon will spread the push out to traditional media through collaborations with universities.

“The key focus will be on colon care for women: we want to establish an educational edge for the masses,” said Ng, who added that the company is very fortunate to have gained so much business in so little time.

“We’re banking on experience of both myself and Georgeana: we’re very lucky as a boutique agency. We’re still growing, obviously – from an initial headcount of two to the current staff of almost triple of that.”
