Jason Kwong exits Havas Media for Publicitas

Jason Kwong, managing director at Havas Media, has left the agency after more than five years to join Publicitas as managing director, North East Asia and Australia.In his new role, Kwong aims to boost digital capability for the media sales company for publications including the New York Times and CBS News.During his 17-plus years working with agencies from Landor Associates, Universal McCann and OgilvyOne, Kwong served a wide range of blue-chip clients including PCCW, Smartone, Samsung, Nokia, Hermes, Shangri-La Hotel, Wynns Macau, Venetian Macau, Disneyland HK, Compass Visa, JP Morgan, Citibank and Unilever.Kwong's position in Havas Media is replaced by Andrew Cawte, former head of international business at Havas Media Group.Also leaving the agency is Tonia Au, general manager and head of middle office at Havas Hong Kong. Au joined the agency in 2013 as director of client services. She is a digital veteran with 17 years experience working across JWT, Omnicom Media Group, The Hyperfactory, Digitas and DDB.
