Iris And Mindshare Appoint, NHB Calls Pitch

NHB calls media pitch'National Heritage Board has (NHB) called for a pitch for media buying and planning services. The tender closes at the end of the month. The contract is slated for a year with an option to extend for another. The incumbent agency is Mediacom. NHB appointed Mediacom as its media agency in 2009 following a three-way pitch involving Maxus and incumbent ZenithOptimedia. Iris Singapore ropes in Narain Iris Singapore has appointed Sonal Narain as senior planning director, keeping in line with the agency's plans to grows its strategic remit and influence around the region. Narain has worked with agencies such as Publicis, JWT and McCann in India, Malaysia and Singapore. Her move to iris comes after a four year stint at Ogilvy & Mather where she led the planning initiative on projects for major clients such as Health Promotion Board Singapore, Milo, Kimberly Clark and The Economist. Narain will head the planning in Singapore for Heineken, adidas, Robinsons, Shell and she work closely with Paul Gage, regional planning director for Asia Pacific on the Diageo account.Campbell relocates to Mindshare Mindshare has appointed James Campbell (pictured) as planning director. Campbell will be responsible for planning on key accounts such as HSBC. He brings to the company more than a decade of planning experience and most recently held the position of media director at Maxus in London, where he worked on the British Telecom and PepsiCo snacks accounts. Campbell will report to director Renee Tan.CheapTickets.sg pairs up with Catalan Tourism BoardOnline travel booking site, CheapTickets.sg, and the Catalan Tourism Board are launching a joint publicity campaign in order to attract more Singaporeans to Catalonia. The local campaign, running on Facebook and print is slated to run until the end of November. Ads are currently running in the central business district, including the Raffles Place MRT and on three bus lines that run through the city. A Facebook contest which runs until the end of the month has also been launched which allows participants to win a pair of tickets to Barcelona. While the Hoffman agency is CheapTicket's PR agency of record, the print and digital aspects of the campaign were created in-house.E! Entertainment revampsThe International Networks division of NBCUniversal International Television has created a new logo for that E! Entertainment Television, along with a revamped on-air look and tagline for its Asian and global audience. The change comes following the unveiling of the channels new look in North America earlier in July. The revamped E! will be revealed across the region on 23 September 2012. E! is currently viewed in 150 countries and delivered in 26 languages. E! covers topics such as trends, music, fashion, TV, movies, art, technology, design, sports amongst others.NYDC appoints PPRNew York Dessert Café (NYDC) has appointed Platform Public Relations (PPR) to handle its public relations duties following a closed-door pitch. The agency will handle NYDC 's online and traditional duties and oversee all publicity initiatives in Singapore. PPR will also provide counsel, strategy and the required communications duties to NYDC for the rest of 2012. With the appointment, NYDC hopes to take on an appropriate brand positioning in the marketplace.
