IPG Mediabrand's Pat Lim tipped to relinquish CEO role

Pat Lim, CEO of IPG Mediabrand is tipped to leave the position after holding the role for over five years. Lim has been offered a new role within the organisation, Marketing understands.Marketing has reached out to IPG Mediabrand for a statement but IPG Mediabrand could not comment at the time of writing. Marketing understands the agency is also set to hire a new managing director from the Australian market.Prior to that she was the managing director of PHD. Known to always be in tune with the media agency scene, we ask Lim how her journey into the ad world has shaped her as a person. Read more on the interview here.This is the second senior exit to hit the IPG Mediabrands. In May this year, Prashant Kumar, formerly president of IPG Mediabrands in Asia world markets and CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia exited the company to join an experimental marketing service consultancy called Entropia.However, the company has bolstered its APAC team in recent months hiring Leigh Terry as CEO of IPG Mediabrands in Asia Pacific. Terry will start his new assignment with IPG Mediabrands at the end of 2016. Earlier this week IPG Mediabrands appointed Matt Scotton as regional chief strategy officer from the network’s Australian office.Last year, Stuart Clark, managing director, Havas Media International APAC and regional head of Middle Office left the role to join IPG Mediabrands.
