TCOB has won the Hong Kong launch of Infiniti’s Q50 sport sedan, the first major product launch for the auto brand since shifting its global headquarters to Hong Kong.
The launch is tipped as one of the biggest car launches in the city, with a 20 minute show to take place at West Kowloon next Thursday.
TCOB is overseeing a series of events from a three-day VIP test drive program, to the official launch and a post-event which sees Infiniti’s range on display to the general public.
In addition, Infiniti’s Formula One-inspired concept car – the Q50 Eau Rouge – will be in Hong Kong for the first time and available for the public to see from 24 to 25 May at the same location.
Waggener Edstrom has been appointed to drive public relations around the events.
Alex Brazendale, director of TCOB, said the launch will be a first for Hong Kong.
“We think this is going to be the biggest car launches in Hong Kong,” he said.
“We didn’t want to do anything that has been done before. We’re really going for it.”
Infiniti Motor Company president Johan de Nysschen and executive design director Alfonso Albaisa will be in Hong Kong for the Q50 launch, which was recently named Best New Car at the Beijing Auto show.
