Indonesian tobacco company Gudang Garam Surya names digital partner

Tobacco company, Gudang Garam Surya has appointed Grey Group Indonesia as its official digital agency.Grey Group Indonesia underwent a pitching process, with its key creative approach aimed at placing the classic brand in a new modern light. According to a release, Gudang Garam Surya  is Indonesia’s second-largest tobacco company with sales exceeding US$5.7 billion, and the brand is the largest profit contributor of the Gudang Garam Tbk Company.Subbaraju Alluri, area director & CEO, Indonesia & Thailand said: “Grey Group Indonesia is excited to start work on one of the most iconic brands in the country and one which also has a long heritage for quality. The team asked us to energize the brand for the digital world and as an agency, we shaped ourselves to meet this challenge. We are working on creative ideas that will fulfil our mission to take our client’s brand to the next level.”A spokesperson from the Gudang Garam Surya brand team added:" Digital media is the most powerful and effective channel of communication, but with the surge of information in the digital realm, it is not always easy to reach consumers.
