IMMAP elects 2014 board and officers

The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines has confirmed its board of directors for 2014 and has sights to finally work on a standard metric for digital.Carlo Bernardo Santos, director at Nielsen Philippines, shared with Marketing that the IMMAP is currently in talks to develop a way to standardize audience metrics for the digital industry.The move is a welcome development in the country’s digital ad industry in need of an accurate and consistent industry-wide measurement model that can help drive increased digital ad spend and continued confidence in ad buys.Santos said to “stay tuned’ for details from the industry body when more concrete plans are in place.The executive committee for IMMAP’s 2014 board of directors is composed of  Michael Palacios (pictured), General Manager at Havoc Digital Media (president); Menchie Viduya-Dizon, Digital Marketing Manager at Ayala Land Inc. The 10-member umbrella organization saw half of members exit since 2007, starting with the Kapisanan ng Brodkasters ng Pilipinas (KBP).Three members have taken an indefinite leave since. The Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) took the lead late last year while 4As and the Advertising Suppliers Association (ASAP) followed suit within months. Most recent was the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP) just last 11 November.
