IKEA is reviewing its media account globally, worth in excess of US$400 million.
Currently, the business is split across several agencies and networks. In Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand the business is held by Dentsu Aegis Network’s Vizeum. The agency was appointed after a review and the agency won the account from incumbents OMD in Singapore, PHD in Malaysia and Thailand.
Vizeum’s appointment officially started in September 2015, for a contract period of two years. The first campaign from the appointment will roll out in September as well.
An IKEA spokesperson said to various media outlets the move is as part of its commitment to the ongoing improvement of media and marketing governance.
“Ikea periodically evaluates all marketing service suppliers to ensure we maintain the best working relationships with the best agency partners,” the spokesperson said. ID Comms, is IKEA’s consultancy partner during this process.
