IDA Singapore concludes media pitch

The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore has handed its media business to Starcom MediaVest Group.

The appointment is for a period of one year. Also vying for the account was Maxus Singapore and OMD Singapore. IDA actively supports the growth of innovative technology companies and start-ups in Singapore and works with leading global IT companies, and develops excellent information technology and telecommunications infrastructure, policies and capabilities for Singapore. The pitch for the account was called in March this year.

IDA also recently appointed local agency Goodfellas for its campaign efforts in publicising its major Smart Nation initiative. A tender was held earlier in the year, with agencies DDB, Havas Worldwide Siren, Imagination, Wild Advertising & Marketing and Aretease in also in the pitch.

Meanwhile, Land Transport Authority (LTA) has also appointed SMG through Pico Art International where SMG joined forces with the creative agency.

SMG’s remit is to plan both IDA’s and LTA’s offline and online media buying and planning.

“We were appointed for our servicing team’s expertise, together with our insights and ideas which are SMG’s strengths. This partnership with both government entities, I believe, will ignite more opportunities with the organisations,” Alison Song, executive director at SMG Singapore said.
