HPB concludes media pitch

According to Gebiz, the Health Promotion Board has named Group M’s MEC Singapore as its media agency. The re-appointment is effective from 1 April onwards.

Also vying for the account were Havas Media and OMD. The announcement comes days after HPB appointed Publicis Singapore as its creative agency.

The pitch was called in October last year and the agency will provide media strategies, planning, buying and implementation services for integrated marketing and communication campaigns for HPB’s various health initiatives. The appointment is for a period of one year with an option to extend for another year.

According to an earlier brief seen by Marketing, the appointed agency is expected to plan and recommend impactful and cost effective integrated through-the-line media strategies for HPB’s events and campaigns. Media strategies should help drive conversions like downloads and sign-ups.

In August last year, HPB picked Possible Worldwide as its digital agency.
