How Chinese radio station UFM100.3 created a carnival feel OOH

SPH’s Chinese radio station UFM100.3’S U1000 Music Countdown event was held over three days at the outdoor atrium of Plaza Singapura.  This was done in partnership with SPHMBO, the out-of-home media unit of SPH, which supplied a mobile truck fitted with LED screens on its sides.

In keeping with the carnival atmosphere, the LED truck was bedecked in UFM100.3’s colours and logo. To widen the reach and draw attention to the event, the screens on the truck showed segments of the Countdown from the live broadcast of UFM100.3 Facebook.

“The LED truck has added a new dimension to our LIVE events and greatly expanded the possibilities of engagement with our audience. The visibility of our brand and activities is greatly enhanced through this vehicle,” Sim Hong Huat, general manager of SPH Radio, said.

The public was also able to enjoy viewing a variety of music videos, by courtesy of UFM100.3, on the LED truck, which was stationed near the outdoor main stage of Bugis Junction from 10 to 14 April 2017. The event had two runs, first at Plaza Singapura and the U1000 Countdown Finale at the outdoor main stage of Bugis Junction.
