HK Magazine announces shut down after 25 years

HK Magazine, the South China Morning Post free lifestyle and entertainment issue, has announced its closure after 25 years of of publication.According to new sources from HKFP and Coconuts Hong Kong, HK Magazine confirmed that the final issue will be published on October 7th, and its website and social media platforms will be ceased a few days later.First published in 1991, the weekly magazine was acquired by the Alibaba-owned SCMP Group three years ago for HKD 13 million.Last month, SCMP closed down its Chinese-language website nanzao.com due to “resource integration”.
