HK Express has named a senior executive from its sister carrier Hong Kong Airlines its new president.
Li Dianchun took over the new role as HK Express president from 31 October. He was previously CCO of Hong Kong Airlines, which is also a member of HNA Group.
Former HK Express head Andrew Cowen was replaced in October after a wave of negative publicity surrounding the cancellation of 18 flights over a peak holiday period.
In his role, Li is responsible for leading the day-to-day management of HK Express. He will also work closely with Zhong Guosong, executive chairman of HK Express, to develop strategies and policies for the airline’s business and operations.
Among the priorities for Li in his new role is strengthening communication between staff and management, as well as enhancing management efficiency and operational stability.
