HBO Asia strikes against online pirates

HBO Asia is hoping to narrow the window for content piracy, announcing a plan to air content in Asia one week after it debuts in the US.Programs such as Game of Thrones, Girls, The Newsroom and True Blood will air across its Asia network one week after airing in the United States.It was also apply to CINEMAX Original Series, HBO Original Movies and HBO Documentaries, said Magdalene Ew, head of marketing, creative and content at HBO Asia.“Bringing forward the HBO and CINEMAX Originals premieres in Asia is vital in HBO Asia’s on-going efforts against piracy,” he said.Other HBO Original Series including Getting On, Ja’Mie Private School Girl and Treme Season 4 will be part of its plan.
