Havas Media makes a move in New Zealand

Havas Media Group, the global media network of Havas, has formed a strategic alliance with Kiwi agency Lassoo Media. This alliance will allow Havas Media Group to extend its presence in New Zealand, a market it views as important in the Asia Pacific region.As a result of this strategic alliance Lassoo will support Havas Media Group’s international requirements in the New Zealand market.The partnership will provide Lassoo access to the group’s suite of digital, media and research resources. However, it will for now remain independent.Last year, Havas Media Group had re-launched its Australia operation under the leadership of Mike Wilson and the new partnership is expected to further strengthen the group’s presence in the region.Founded over a decade ago, Lassoo Media and PR has established itself as an innovative company and offers media, PR and digital services.  Lassoo’s clients include Red Bull, Sleepyhead, Cavalier Bremworth and Southern Cross Travel Insurance.Vishnu Mohan (pictured), CEO of Havas Media Group, Asia Pacific said: “We have been considering our growth options in the region for some time and wanted to join forces with a respected team who share our philosophy and ambitions.”Bridgette Franklin, Lassoo co-founder and owner said that the partnership allows clients who to “enjoy the combined benefits of Lassoo’s agile independence and Havas Media’s global knowledge and tools."With this, she added there will be  "increased ability to harness advancements in the fast-growing digital arena.”Both companies are still run by their founders who remain actively involved in the businesses and both invest extensively in experience and expertise.
